The year 2021.

It's here.  Whether you want it to be or not.

I hope this blog finds you as excited as I am about it.

My name is Chris and I'm the Captain of Darkblue Charters (www.darkbluecharters.com<http://www.darkbluecharters.com>) right here in Manistee.  I have been fishing king salmon, lake trout, and about anything else that swims here in Manistee for over twenty years, and I've been addicted to all types of fishing since I could walk, which is longer ago than I'll ever admit to.

A short time ago the owner of Tangled Tackle asked me to team up with him on this online adventure and I jumped at the chance to get onboard.

God help me....

But I saw this as an important opportunity to provide what knowledge I have to other anglers in hopes they will continue to pass it on to others. It also gives me a great opportunity to meet other anglers and continue to learn and broaden my fishing horizons.

My fishing partner Jim and I also run a YouTube channel dedicated to providing anglers tips and tools for Great Lakes salmon fishing and beyond.  Check out our live fishing report every Sunday night at 7pm to keep you up to date on what's working on the water.  Check out our family friendly channel on YouTube @tangledtacklefishing.

We go over the hot baits, the hot set ups and everything in between.  You'll see the good, the bad, the ugly and everything else in between.  We focus on showing you our techniques, the lures we use, our setups, the wins and the losses.  Fishing is real and not a made for TV editing bonanza.
